Today there are more than 12,000 Teach For America alumni working across the country in every sector. Alumni tell us that taking on such an intense personal challenge so soon after graduating from college, was a defining experience for them. It helped them build deep inner strength and provided them with the insight, perspective and skills needed to be effective leaders and advocate for change in education.
