Training Program Innovations

Some of you may have heard about various innovations we’re piloting as we strive to improve our pre-service training program for corps members. One of these is the Merged Program Pilot (MPP), an opportunity for regions to pilot pre-service training in their own region in lieu of sending corps members to a centralized institute. Memphis and Jacksonville are the first regions to participate in our MPP.  This means Memphis and Jacksonville corps members will receive both their pre-service training and on-going support in their region, rather than joining other regions in one of the nine centralized institutes for their pre-service training.

How to Apply

To view a list of roles currently available, select the MPP region from the drop-down menu in the Summer Institute Staff application. Staffing opportunities will vary by region. To ensure that you find the right fit for you, your interests, and your unique talents, we encourage applicants who were corps members in a region with an MPP, or live there now, to explore opportunities with both the MPP and institute teams.

Summer 2014: We anticipate launching more MPP regions in 2014, while continuing our centralized institutes.
