There is tremendous demand from district administrators and principals for Teach For America because of the proven impact our corps members and alumni are having in low income communities. In addition, graduate schools and corporate employers value the skills, insights, and experience that distinguish Teach For America corps members and, as a result, actively recruit Teach For America alumni.

Prominent leaders from both sides of the political aisle have recognized the need to provide high-quality education and to place diverse, high-quality teachers in every classroom. Many of these leaders view Teach For America as playing a pivotal role in helping to reshape our country's priorities around education and close the achievement gap. In April 2009, President Obama noted the growth of Teach For America upon signing the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act.
