Applicants who are selected for staff positions should expect to participate in conference calls in the spring, prior to the institute. In addition, most staff members will need to attend several weekend conferences in the spring to prepare for the institute. Generally, school directors need to arrive five to seven days before the start of institute and depart two to four days after the end of institute, though at some institutes school directors may be asked to arrive slightly earlier or stay later to build their school site relationships. School director salaries start at $8,000 for the duration of the commitment, and depend on institute experience. Room, board, and some travel and shipping costs are provided for all staff members. The institute is a residential experience and all staff members are expected to stay in the provided accommodations. We will work with staff members who need family accommodations to find a suitable situation.
