Our 12,000 alumni are a leadership force - working from within education and from every sector to effect fundamental change.

Impact in Atlanta

Since 2000, corps members and alumni have made an indelible impact on our city. Currently, more than 200 corps members and 190 alumni are teaching in classrooms throughout the greater Atlanta area. Our corps members and alumni are collectively impacting the lives of an estimated 25,000 students in the classroom. At the same time, more than 700 alumni call Atlanta home, working from all sectors to continue to effect lasting, systemic change.

Five of our alumni are serving as principals while others are serving in key positions in Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, Gwinnett County Schools, Dekalb County Schools, Clayton County Schools, KIPP, and the Georgia Department of Education, as well as in law, finance, business and policy.

We have two alumni currently running for public office. In addition, three alumni are full-time professors at Georgia State and the University of Georgia. The potential for impact is also found through alumni working at the Center for Disease Control, the United States Attorney's Office, Coca-Cola, and the United Way.
