Graduating college seniors who are interested in participating in both programs should apply separately to Teach For America and The George Washington University Global MBA program. If admitted to both, students then receive a two year deferment to start their Global MBA after the Teach for America program. Students must also notify GW Admissions of their intent to apply for this deferral during the admissions process.

In recognition of extraordinary commitment to expand educational opportunities, The Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University has established the Teach For America Public Service Fellowship. This full-tuition fellowship will be awarded to an exiting corps member or Teach For America alumnus/a who exemplifies the Teach For America mission. As a demonstration of his/her commitment to public service, the successful applicant must be professionally employed in the public sector, broadly defined, for three years upon graduation. If the three-year commitment is not met, the recipient must repay the fellowship. The Louisiana State University Graduate School has reaffirmed its commitment to offer tuition exemption scholarships to Teach For America corps members teaching in Louisiana.

The exemption lasts two years and covers all tuition expenses for full-time and part-time graduate programs, with the exception of medical and law studies.

To be considered for the scholarship, corps members will need to be accepted into a graduate program at LSU and receive a recommendation from the relevant department.
