Teach For America offers an array of resources designed to help alumni advance in their careers and continue their work to eliminate educational inequity:
Career and Leadership Center: Alumni have access to a broad range of online career resources including career mentors, newsletters, discussion communities, webinars, resume drives, resume coaching, interview preparation resources, and a robust job board.
Regional alumni affairs teams: Local staff members in each region meet individually with alumni, host events, and develop strategic partnerships to connect alumni with one another and support their career and civic goals.
Leadership support: Dedicated staff members help interested alumni with skill development and networking as they pursue careers in school and teacher leadership, political leadership, social entrepreneurship, board leadership, policy and advocacy leadership, private sector careers, and nonprofit leadership.
Graduate school and employer partnerships: Hundreds of graduate school partners and employers offer special benefits to Teach For America corps members and alumni, such as two-year deferrals, scholarships, internships, and career mentoring.
Alumni summits: These events are held in several cities each year and provide unique opportunities to reconnect with each other, engage national and community leaders, explore career and job opportunities, and reflect on what we can do together to realize our vision of educational excellence and equity.
One Day magazine: One Day, the Teach For America alumni magazine, delves into major issues in education reform and features profiles and perspectives from the alumni community.
